AN ACT

Relating to the financial administration of the Oregon Department of Administrative Services; appropriating money; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated to the Oregon Department of Administrative Services for the Oregon Health Sciences University public corporation, for the biennium beginning July 1, 1999, out of the General Fund, the following amounts which may be expended only for the following purposes:

(1) For support of education and

general services of the Oregon

Health Sciences University..................... $ 72,424,926

(2) For support of the University

Hospital and Clinics of the

Oregon Health Sciences

University................................................. $ 27,882,000

(3) For support of the

Child Development and

Rehabilitation Center............................. $ 10,290,000

(4) For support of Area Health

Education Centers.................................. $ 1,300,000

SECTION 2. Allocations of funding authorized by section 1 of this 1999 Act shall be made in an amount equal to one-eighth of the authorized appropriation for the biennial period on the first day of each quarter beginning July 1, 1999.

SECTION 3. This 1999 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 1999 Act takes effect July 1, 1999.
