AN ACT

 

HB 5062

 

Relating to state financial administration; appropriating money; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

      SECTION 1. In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropriated to the Office of Community College Services, for the biennium beginning July 1, 1999, out of the General Fund, for the following programs:

 

      (1)     Distance learning

               efforts....................................................... $           1,000,000

      (2)     Distribution to

               community college districts

               that were established or that have

               annexed new territory

               on or after July 1, 1995........................... $              290,000

      (3)     Renovations of a facility

               in Troutdale for Mt.

               Hood Community College...................... $              100,000

      (4)     Mental Health

               Technician Pilot Project

               at Rogue Community

               College...................................................... $                70,000

 

      SECTION 2. In addition to and not in lieu of the appropriation made for the Oregon Advanced Technology Center program by section 3 (3), chapter 219, Oregon Laws 1999 (Enrolled House Bill 5011), there is appropriated to the Office of Community College Services from the General Fund, for the biennium beginning July 1, 1999, the sum of $100,000 for the Oregon Advanced Technology Center at Central Oregon Community College.

      SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other law, all sections of this 1999 Act are subject to Oregon Department of Administrative Services rules related to allotting, controlling and encumbering funds.

      SECTION 4. This 1999 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 1999 Act takes effect July 1, 1999.
