A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to sulfur content in fuel.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 1999 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS chapter 468A. + }
SECTION 2. { + For any gasoline or diesel fuel sold in this
state:
(1) The average sulfur limit on the amount of sulfur that may
be present in gasoline or diesel fuel is 30 parts per million.
(2) The maximum sulfur limit on the amount of sulfur that may
be present in gasoline or diesel fuel is 80 parts per
million. + }
SECTION 3. { + The limitations on sulfur content of gasoline
and diesel fuel established under section 2 of this 1999 Act
apply to all gasoline and diesel fuel sold in this state on or
after January 1, 2004. + }
