Greetings from Salem!
We began our interim legislative committee days today and they will continue until Friday. We usually have a variety of informational hearings but we also hear a few upcoming legislative concepts and new information and updates on issues and programs & projects that are already in place. There will be public hearings on legislative concepts that we will be addressing in 2013 and I am interested in hearing from my constituents on issues with which they are involved or concerned.
My current committee assignments are the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, House Veterans Affairs Committee and I am Co-Vice Chair of the House Energy, Environment and Water Committee. Although I have a busy schedule, the best way I can effectively represent our district is to hear from you, my constituents. I will always make time to meet with constituents if at all possible but please call or write as soon as you know you’re coming to Salem so I can make arrangements to see you when you are at the Capitol. Sometimes meeting in the district is more convenient for all so that is also an option. |
