Veterans and Military Affairs 2011 Session Overview
Following two terms as a State Representative I am currently serving in my second session as State Senator in District 12, representing parts of Polk, Marion, Yamhill, Benton and Linn counties, including the towns of Dallas, Falls City, Willamina, McMinnville, Sheridan, Amity, Dayton, Dundee, Lafayette, Yamhill, Carlton, Turner, Halsey, Harrisburg, Jefferson, and Monroe.
I am serving as the Chair for the Veterans Committee and a member of the General Government, Consumer and Small Business protection. I submitted over 25 Senate bills this session most spurring from constituent’s concepts with seven of the bills being enacted into law in the original form as a Senate bill or being redrawn up into a House bill.
