Biography

Ted Ferrioli was born in Spokane, Washington, on February 15, 1951. Ted moved with his family to Portland at age eight where he attended public school, graduating from U.S. Grant High School with honors in 1969.

Ted then attended the University of Oregon where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

After graduation, Senator Ted FerrioliTed worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs and settled in Creswell, Oregon, to raise a family. He was appointed, then elected to the Creswell City Council, serving as chairman of the budget and police committees.

In 1986, Ted founded Community Relation Associates, Inc., a public relations firm dedicated to advocacy for natural resource producers. Ted is a co-founder of Oregon Lands Coalition.

Today Ted represents the citizens of Senate District 30, Oregon’s largest, which encompasses all of Baker, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Malheur, Sherman, Wasco, Wheeler and parts of Clackamas, Deschutes and Marion Counties. He also serves as the Senate Republican Leader.
