Lew Frederick Thank you for visiting my legislative webpage! It is an honor to represent the people of North and Northeast Portland in the Oregon Legislature. We are a district rich in diversity and ambition. During the 2011 Oregon Legislative Session, I served as co-Vice-Chair of the House Education and Human Services Committees, and served on the Joint Committee on Legislative Audits and Information Management and Technology. I am continuing in those roles through the interim. The 2011 session was a difficult one, with scarce resources and urgent problems to solve. I believe in asking of every decision, “How will this make our lives better, in my District and in the State as a whole?” I am proud of the work we did to focus what we have on building our economic vitality and security. I will continue to focus on increasing economic opportunities, protecting and improving our environment, both locally and globally, and broadening educational opportunities for all of our young people.
