Representative John E. Huffman
R-The Dalles
District 59

Thank you for visiting my legislative Web page.

Since 2007, I have had the privilege of representing House District 59.  Our district includes nearly 60,000 people living in Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam, Wheeler, Jefferson, most of Grant, and small portions of Deschutes, Clackamas and Marion Counties.

I continue to work hard and drive a lot of miles every month to meet with friends and businesses throughout the district that I represent in Salem.  I welcome your comments and questions on legislative issues that are important to you.  During the 2011, 76th Legislative Session, I will support legislative proposals that create the appropriate climate for private sector business success and job creation, and relieve Oregonians of the onerous burden of excessive taxes, fees and regulations.  Every Oregon family and every Oregon business deserves a fiscally responsible legislature serving them in Salem.

As your State Representative, I am able to help you address concerns and disputes with state agencies.  If you are not a resident of District 59, I will forward your concern to the proper representative.  If your problem is with the federal government, for instance, Social Security, Medicare or Veteran’s Benefits, please refer to www.house.gov, and Congressman Greg Walden and his staff will be able to help you.  Senator Merkley and Senator Wyden represent all of Oregon’s residents in Washington.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your State Representative.
