REPS. KEVIN CAMERON AND VICKI BERGER TO HOLD
TELEPHONE TOWN HALL ON EDUCATION,
with guest Dr. Rudy Crew, Oregon’s Chief Education Officer
Over 20,000 Households Will be Invited to Participate
SALEM—Rep. Kevin Cameron (R-Salem) and Rep. Vicki Berger (R-Salem) will host a live telephone town hall on Thursday, September 6 to discuss education. Dr. Rudy Crew, Oregon’s first Chief Education Officer, will also be sharing his vision for education in our state and available to answer questions. The telephone town hall will give Oregonians an opportunity to share their priorities and concerns surrounding the transformation of public education in the state of Oregon.
“I am excited to hear from Dr. Crew and the ideas he is bringing to our state,” commented Rep. Berger. “I’m also looking forward to using this new technology to hear from my community on this very important topic.”
The telephone town hall will take place on Thursday, September 6 from 6:30-7:30pm. Both Rep. Cameron and Rep. Berger, along with Dr. Crew, will be live on the call and will host the question and answer period with the phone call participants for nearly an hour.
“This is a great way for members of our communities to get involved and have a very real and honest conversation about Oregon’s education,” said Rep. Cameron. “It is important to us that we are representing our districts and our state to the best of our ability—I am looking forward to speaking with our constituents and finding out more about how we can better serve them in Salem.”
The telephone town hall will call in to 20,000 household’s in House Districts 19 and 20, who then have an option to join the live phone call with Rep. Cameron and Rep. Berger. There is no cost to participants.
