“Nurses and physicians’ assistants are a very important part of our communities and our primary care delivery system, but they are not regulated by the same board as physicians, they do not have same educational requirements or costs, and I understand they are not reimbursed at the same rate by the state or federal government. In my opinion this bill is a narrow, prescriptive response to a broader problem and it will not lead to a stronger, more effective and more accessible primary care system”
