Courtney Comments on K-12 Budget Veto Threat

“I understand the need to keep funds in reserve in this economic climate, but our revised K-12 budget plan strikes an appropriate balance. It alleviates much of the uncertainty facing school districts in the second year of the biennium and still allows us flexibility in the future.

“I respect the governor and the position he has taken. We can’t let our differences prevent us from completing our work. We need to find a path for our people and we need to find it together.”
