Courtney Thanks OHSU Doctors, Staff

(PORTLAND) Senate President Peter Courtney underwent successful hip replacement surgery Wednesday morning at Oregon Health Sciences University. Thursday, Courtney offered his thanks and praise to the physicians, nurses and staff at OHSU.

“Oregon is fortunate to have outstanding medical professionals devoted to healing the sick and improving the quality of life for patients all across our state,” said Courtney (D-Salem/Gervais/Woodburn) “Nowhere is that more evident than at OHSU where caring for patients is more than just a job, it is the passion and the life’s calling of a world-class staff.

“I want to specifically thank my orthopedic surgeon Dr. Thomas Huff and anesthesiologist Dr. Matthew Abrahams and all of the nurses and other OHSU staff members for the dedication and compassion they have shown during my stay here.”
