Courtney: Morse is ‘Perfect Oregonian’

(SALEM) – Senate President Peter Courtney (D-Salem/Gervais/Woodburn) issued the following statement today regarding the surprise resignation announcement by Senator Frank Morse (R-Albany).

“Senator Morse is special. They made a good one when they made him. I truly wish he had given us a few more years, but we have to respect his decision. Throughout his service to Oregon, Senator Morse has been a model of decency, goodness and professionalism. He was the best. He is the perfect Oregonian.”

Note to editors: Morse has served 10 years in the Senate. He was first elected in 2002 and won re-election in both 2006 and 2010.
