Testifying before the Senate Education Committee on April 10, Rep. Matt Wingard (R-Wilsonville) expressed his opposition to SB 767- a bill being pushed by special interests to shutdown large online charter schools. The bill would also prevent elementary-aged children from attending the schools. In the clip, Rep. Wingard said on-line charter schools are non-profit organizations that are bound to performance and accountability measures that are mostly absent in the state’s public schools.
