Statement from Senator Ted Ferrioli  

Salem, OR — “We now have an opportunity to use the priorities of the Back to Basics Budget.  Republicans have produced a budget that funds the services that matter most to Oregonians with the revenue we have, and it doesn’t require draconian cuts or tax increases.  Ultimately, this budget is as simple as reducing costs but protecting services.  We can ask public employee unions to make a contribution to the cost of their health care premiums and co-pays, freeze the Governor’s massive pay increases and utilize the hundreds of millions in other funds that Democrats aren’t using to write their budget.  These are the priorities of the Back to Basics Budget.”
