Rep Whisnant receives award from NFIB
Oregon NFIB presented "Guardian of Small Business" award

Representative Gene Whisnant (R-Sunriver) accepted "Guardian of Small Business" award from National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) on Monday, July 25th. Oregon NFIB State Director Jan Meekcoms presented the award to Rep. Whisnant at the NFIB Small Business Summit.

Jan Meekcoms said, "It is so encouraging to have the support, intelligence and dedication of legislators like Gene. Thank you for all you do and supporting NFIB and our mission in so many ways."

The "Guardian of Small Business" award is given to those who have worked effectively to protect and preserve the future of free enterprise and small business.

Rep. Whisnant attended the NFIB Small Business Summit in Sunriver and spoke about how vital small businesses are to the economy in Oregon. Rep. Whisnant stated, "We must protect small business in Oregon by supporting a business friendly climate."
