STATEMENT FROM REP. MATT WINGARD ON PRESIDENT OBAMA’S INAUGURATION

 

SALEM— Rep. Matt Wingard (R-Wilsonville) had the following to say regarding the inauguration of President Barack Obama:

 

“Today President Barack Obama moves into a White House built by African slaves 208 years ago. Today President Obama swore his oath of office on the same Bible President Abraham Lincoln used 148 years ago. Truly, today is a great day in the history of America.

 

“I hope all Americans will join me in celebrating this important moment.”
